Prague

Hallo Gabbas.. (veral Jaco en ou Dagga) ek weet dis nou al ’n rukkie wat ek bietjie iets nuuts op my blog sit. So hier gaan dit dan nou weer.

So this weekend was the first time in a month or two that I had the chance to get out of London for a while and go see a new country. That’s right we (Jaco, Annalet, Pieter, Andrew and Carole and me of coarse) went to Prague have a snow ball fight. The truth is that there was not enough snow yet but I did manage to scrape together a few hands full of ICE and sling it at unsuspecting people (and yes it was as much fun as it looks like in the movies).

So anyway I won’t bore you with all the details of all the thing we went to see there, we can skip right to our fist night out. After a long day of walking in sub zero temperatures and eating and drinking all day we as a group decided to go out and see if we could find a jazz club. This sounded like a good idea but turned out to be a real mission. First Andrew harassed a rather good looking waiter (who likes Tatu the band allot) in one of the restaurants trying to get her to tell us where the closed Jazz club was. Up until that point everything was cool then it started going “pear shaped”. The problem was too many chiefs and drunken Indians. The more Andrew wanted to go to a Jazz club and trying to follow some obscure directions the more Carole wanted to find the closed club. This went on for at least and hour, we were walking up and down Prague. The Indians kept on agreeing with both sides because lets face it they don’t know what the hell is going on all they knew what that is was freezing and there alcohol levels were getting awfully close to sober which was unacceptable.

Anyway long story short Carole won and we ended up in a club called La Fabriqueit turned out to be a really cool club with some good looking waitresses and a few dancers that knew what men like to see (the next morning Jaco mentioned that the girls dancing did not shave there pits but truthfully I was not looking at that at all ). Anyway after all that effort Carole and Jaco decided to call it a night after the second beer (so the 2 girls went home) but then when we did get home we found Jaco and Carole drinking in the hotel restaurant drinking and singing “Just the two of us” … it was sad I know

Anyway the weekend turned out really cool we did a lot of walking and Jaco and Andrew did a lot of talking. We also managed to see all the main attractions and we lived like kings because the currency in Prague is really quite bad. (40 Czech koruna for 1 pound). The food there was amazing and the beer was really cheap our accommodation was unbelievably good (thanks to Carole for organizing it), what more could one ask for.

Anyway that is the end of my story…
